Top 5 Wednesday: Hate To Love Ships

Hey Book Nerds, and welcome back for another Top 5 Wednesday! This week’s topic is “hate to love ships.” Once I truly think about it, a lot of books in YA literature feature a hate to love relationship. And I will admit, I love them! So many of my favorite books feature these types of relationships. Although you may also hate the relationship in the beginning, I feel like sometimes two peoples hatred of each other can strengthen their love in the end.

Now let’s talk about relationships!

  1. Obsidian (Lux, #1)Daemon and Katy – Lux
I don’t think there has ever been a Top 5 Wednesday that I haven’t mentioned something from this series! But, these two are the definition of a love to hate relationship. In Obsidian, Daemon wanted nothing to do with Katy. All he wanted was to protect his family from both the Arum, and humans like her. But, he knew that he was slowly falling in love with her. Katy, on the other hand, took a little more time to fall in love with Daemon. She knew that she wanted a neverending love story, alike her parents. It took Daemon a lot of effort to make her love him, but he finally proved it by… the second/third book!

  2. Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)Rowan and Aelin – Throne of Glass
Does anyone remember those Heir of Fire days? It was a long time ago, but these two absolutely hated each other. Aelin had just learned that she was THE Aelin Ashryver Galathynius who was supposed to rule Erilea. She was sent to Wendlyn and ended up being acquainted with Rowan Whitethorn, one of the most powerful Fae. They showed so much hatred to each other in the first little when they were together. But, when the carranam bond formed, they were so deeply in love that no one could get between them.

  3. A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)Rhysand and Feyre – ACOTAR
Ahhh, these two are such amazing mates! I remember way back in ACOTAR that Feyre feared Rhys. While she was Under the mountain with him, she was scared of him. He was the High Lord of a court of darkness. She had a right to be scared of him. But, once she got to know him in ACOMAF, she quickly fell for him. And that was even before the mating bond! These two were a power couple and I cannot wait to see where their relationship ventures to in the final book of this trilogy!

  4. Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2)Wolf and Scarlet – The Lunar Chronicles
Out of all of the ships I have read about in this series, this one has been by far my favorite. At the beginning of Scarlet, it was obvious that she was slightly scared of Wolf first came to Toulouse. But, I think they both lightened up whenever they were near tomatoes! Although they had their ups and downs throughout the second book, I have my hopes up that they stay a “thing” during Cress and Winter! I’m literally praying that they stay together! I know that She is still gong to be mad at him, but people usually don’t stay mad a other forever!

  5. Legend (Legend, #1)Day and June – Legend
Who didn’t loves these two together? They were meant to be! I mean, of course they weren’t super friendly towards each other in the beginning, they shouldn’t have been. But, once they got to know each other, their relationship grew from acquaintances to friends. By Prodigy, they had become something even more than friends. I can’t say that I am happy with the ending of this series, but I will remember Day and June’s troublesome relationship for a long time!

THAT’S IT FOR TODAY! I hope you enjoyed my top 5 for this week’s topic. Don’t forget to like, comment and follow for more posts!

Happy Reading!
